Respite Care services are available to anyone who cares for dependent persons in their home. The dependent person must be medically stable yet in need of supervision.

What is the Cost?
There is no cost for these services. Contributions will be gratefully accepted.

How do we acquire Respite Care?
Family members may request Respite Care. A physician’s order is not required. The Coordinator will review each request and access the family’s needs. The volunteer is then assigned to the family and schedules are arranged.

Who are the Volunteers?
The Respite Care volunteers are caring individuals who are devoted to provide companionship and supervision for the elderly or handicapped person in the home. Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer should contact the Respite Care office.

What is a Friendly Visitor?
This program was added to Respite Care when we saw the need for companionship to the elderly homebound. Volunteers visit on a regular basis in the homes of people still living independently and check on their well-being. Usually, the client and volunteer share a special bond.
